Our Pastor

Living Hope by AIP-29.jpeg

Jiju Mathew

Growing up as an Indian in America, achievement and accomplishments defined a person, but it wasn’t until 16 years old that Jiju realized that it was not what he could achieve but what he received that defined him. That truth completely changed his life because of Jesus (Job 19:25), who rescued him from the sin of performance and pretense. Since then, he has been enamored by grace because he sees how great of a sinner he is, yet at the same time, he sees how great of a Savior Jesus is; his passion is to tell that redemptive story to anyone who wants to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus Christ. He graduated from TEDS with Masters of Divinity in 2009 and is now serving as the lead pastor of Living Hope.

We are a church in development (Section E13), and what that means is that it’s an opportunity for us to discover a couple of things:

  • Who are we (identity)

  • What are we made to do (purpose)

Every individual navigates what that means for themselves, but when a group of Christ-followers comes together to live out their identity in Christ and what He has created you to do, then what begins to unfold is a God-sized picture (vision) of what God wants for our lives, families, communities and the nations. To help actualize them, we have an Advisory Team entrusted with temporary leadership to provide a plurality of leadership/voice to the church from an advisory posture. They will work under the CMA Midwest District representative Kurt Sovine and our pastor to accomplish what the Lord wants for Living Hope.
